I've gotten a taste of that sort of teamwork with Rock Band, but that's really simulated teamwork - you don't actually have to pay attention to your teammates, though their mistakes can affect you. I wonder if you could take the interdependence and necessity of teamwork and sacrifice from Left 4 Dead and apply it to a music game.
